Master the steps to achieve your normal Bankai in Roblox's Type Soul. This guide covers all stages, from Shikai to the final Bankai boss fight, including prerequisites and strategi
Unlocking your Bankai in Type Soul is a significant milestone for any Soul Reaper, granting immense power and unique abilities. This lengthy and challenging progression requires dedication, combat prowess, and a good understanding of the game's mechanics. This guide will walk you through every stage of obtaining your 'normal' Bankai, distinct from the 'True Bankai' progression.
Prerequisite: Unlock Your Shikai
Before you can even begin the Bankai questline, you must first awaken your Shikai. This involves several steps:
- Reach Grade 2: Progress through missions, typically found on mission boards in Soul Society, to increase your grade.
- Upgrade Your Zanpakuto: Ensure your Zanpakuto is upgraded.
- Meditate for Shikai: Meditate multiple times (usually around 4-7 minutes per session) until you are teleported to your inner Shikai World.
- Defeat Your Shikai Boss: Once in the Shikai World, you'll face your inner Shikai spirit. Defeat it to unlock your Shikai abilities. This fight is a good warm-up for what's to come, so practice your dodging and attacking.
Once your Shikai is unlocked, you can proceed to the Bankai progression. You also need to be at Elite Grade to begin the Bankai quest.
Stage 1: Proving Your Worth
The first stage of Bankai progression requires you to complete one of three challenging objectives. You can track your progress by speaking to an NPC located near two warehouses in the Karakura Town farm area.
- Win 13 Faction Raids: Participate and win 13 Faction Raids. Note that Karakura Town raids typically do not count towards this objective. Soul Society and Hueco Mundo raids are good options.
- Win 7 Clan Wars: If you have a strong team, winning 7 Clan Wars can be a quicker alternative. Clan War wins count for 2 Raid wins.
- Win 25-26 Ranked 1v1 Matches: Winning Ranked 1v1 matches will also contribute, with each win counting as 0.5 Raid wins.
- Win 16 Ranked 2v2 Matches: Ranked 2v2 wins count as 0.8125 Raid wins.
Stage 2: Gathering and Hunting
This stage is notoriously unforgiving: if you die at any point during these tasks, your progress for this entire stage will reset, forcing you to start over.
You must complete all three of the following objectives:
- Get 10-15 Elite Grips: You need to 'grip' (defeat and finish off) Elite Grade players from an opposite faction. A common strategy is to invite a friend from a different faction to your server and repeatedly grip them in a secluded area.
- Kill 50-80 Hollows: Hunt down and defeat Hollow NPCs. Mission quests in Soul Society or the Division 5 quests in Karakura Town are efficient ways to accumulate these kills. Player kills also count, but remember the "no dying" rule.
- Kill Bawabawa or Jindabo Boss: You need to defeat either the Bawabawa boss (found in Hueco Mundo) or the Jindabo boss (found in the center of Soul Society). These world bosses spawn approximately every 1.5 hours (in-game server time) and often require a team to take down. You typically need to deal around 20% of their total damage to receive kill credit.
Stage 2.5: Urahara's Challenge (Soul Reapers Only)
This step is exclusive to Soul Reaper characters. Once you complete Stage 2, head to Karakura Town.
- Find Kisuke Urahara: Locate Urahara. He can be found in the garden area of Karakura Town, or by going through a tunnel, taking a left, and heading up the stairs.
- Accept the Challenge: Talk to Urahara and select the dialogue option "I'm ready."
- The Zanpakuto Puzzle: You will be teleported to a room with numerous Zanpakuto swords sticking out of the ground. Your task is to identify and pick the three correct swords. If you select an incorrect sword, it will turn red and a glowing trail will appear, pointing you in the direction of a correct sword.
- You have a limited number of attempts (e.g., three chances). If you fail too many times, the mini-game will end, and you might face a cooldown (e.g., 30-60 minutes) before you can attempt it again, or you may need to kill an opposite race player to reset.
Stage 3: Confronting Your Bankai
The final and often most difficult stage is a direct confrontation with your inner Bankai spirit.
- Meditate: Return to the Shikai Realm by meditating.
- Defeat Your Bankai: You will face a powerful boss representing your Bankai form, wielding abilities unique to your elemental type. This fight is significantly harder than your Shikai boss battle.
- Combat Strategy: Focus on dodging incoming attacks, creating openings, and striking when your Bankai is vulnerable. Kiting (maintaining distance and attacking only when safe) is often crucial.
- Elemental Challenges: Be aware that certain Bankai types, such as the Blood Bankai, can regenerate health upon hitting you, making the fight even more challenging and requiring near-perfect execution.
- Retry on Death: Fortunately, if you are defeated, you can immediately restart the fight by meditating and re-entering the Shikai World.
- Unlock Your Bankai: Upon successfully defeating your Bankai, a cutscene will play, and you will finally unlock your normal Bankai abilities! The dialogue "The Blade is Me" signifies your success.
Congratulations on awakening your Bankai! This powerful new form will drastically enhance your combat capabilities in Type Soul.
